out of stock"It is 2006 and Ehud Olmert, prime minister of Israel, is promising in a live tv speech to “turn Lebanon’s clock back twenty years”. This godly sentence resurfaces as a motif by late 2013, when Astromanta is reading Peter Sloterdijk’s Terror from the Air, on the birth of modern terrorism, while piecing together the endless post 9-11 “war on terror” and the emergence of modern ultra-commanders and their “scorched earth” strategies. The story in this zine parodies both hopeless, transcendental terrorism and its overblown state counterpart. A pinup by Mao features a GM-branded Transformer uttering Joe Biden’s 2012 campaign line, Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive."
